Will a 120mm f6.8 Goerz Berlin Series III Dagor cover 5x7?

Thanks in advance!

Doubt it, at least with reasonably sharp corners. I have one and will pop it on the 8x10 and try to guage the coverage. It was supposed to be 4x5 max. It's night here so no chance to focus on infinity until tomorrow.

As is nearly always the case with questions about coverage, the answer is "it depends".

It will illuminate the whole 5x7" at small stops, but the light falloff in the corners will be dramatic. That's why Schneider made the front and rear element of their Angulon (a "reverse Dagor") much larger than the inner elements: To reduce the vignetting seen with the Dagor.

The corners won't be very shap either, but that doesn't really matter since they will be so dark.

Sounds like an Angulon is a better choice.
Thanks
