My first thought was they would just bounce around but on further thought I realize I was thinking about my stainless 120 reels and my unicolor print drum I use for 4x5 sheet developing. You are probably thinking of a far different combination.

hi bobF
i know from trial and error that patterson/yankee reels are too big.
the stainless reels i have give a fraction of an inch all the way around.
( this is a reel tank, not the 4x5-8x10 tank )
i just wonder if it is okay that i use them, and it won't damage the inside of the tank ...

thanks!

just got back from mixing chemicals and loading the tank/tube. metal reels work fine - sandwiched between the plastic 35mm unicolor ones ..
