220 is a great format for sure, I wish more people made it. Unfortunately it’s a vary manual process that not many people want to do. But, I’ll keep doing it as long as I can get the film for it, and as long as folks want it. Definitely let folks know that I’m doing this, I would love to be able to get this stuff out there and show what an amazing film this is!Great that 220 will be spooled up! I am in EU and ATM not ordering, mostly have stuck with still films, but I am passing the info to some photo friends who can be interested
Yes, this film will fit onto any regular 120 back. The film will be trimmed to size using a slitter and then rolled onto 120 spools and paper as seen in the linked thread in my signature.Do Hasselblad 12A backs have to be modified to handle 65 mm since 120 is 62mm wide? Will 65 mm fit on standard 120 spools and still provide light protection or is edge fog expected?
To answer some of your questions:Is this film perforated? Can one slit off the perfs and still have 120/220 film? And then there's the remjet. I don't really get trying to shoot cine film when Rochester is still making still films.
If it was 70mm Double X, (or even better TXP) sign me up!
Hi,
What are you using as a film cutter?
I bought a full roll of 65mm Vision3 50D about 5 years ago and have tried various ways to trim it to 120, for personal use, but without success. It’s expired now, but I’m still keen to convert and use it if I can source or make a suitable, reliable cutter.
Many thanks.
