11x14 paper UK?

I want to move up to 11x14 paper. Preferably Ilford MG. But it seems a hard size to find. Does anyone know of a supplier in the UK?

The only 11x14 paper I have found online is Kentmere VC glossy from RK photographic.

Silverprint have both Fibre and RC MG IV in 11x14 on their web site. Have you phoned them about stock?

I don't usually use them as they have a rather unsecure and vague delivery/ordering system. Maybe I will try phoning them instead.

EDIT: Actually the ordering system is actually secure after all. Looks like a solution.

That don't always have it in stock but they do get it quickly for you. Good prices too.

I've never had any problem with silverprint, I've ordered from them a few times, although thier ordering system is far from ideal

I think any dealer that stocks Ilford should be able to get any item very quickly - my local shop can get any Ilford product within a week.

Silverprint do have a lot of sizes of paper in stock though which is useful.

I know that Ilford make the papers in 11x14, but most of the online retailers I use don't seem to stock it. They jump from 9.5x12 to 12x16. No 11x14. (I don't have any decent camera shops nearby - they are all digital and think you are crazy if you ask for anything else - so I buy almost everything online.)

I will try Morco who do list it and have an easy ordering system. I hadn't heard of them before. Thanks, Trevor.

Hi Mark,

I got 2 boxes of 11"x14" from them recently. Took about 2 weeks from ordering on line to the products arriving at my door. They were out of stock. At £50/box of 50 sheets MG/WT FB inclusive of VAT I thought that was a good price. I think if you place an order for £100 postage is free.

I can certainly recommend them as I've used them on several occasions.

Thanks Simon, but I am still confused. Your stock list on the website lists 11x14 size availability for some of the products I am interested in:

RC MG
RC MGWT
MG FB
MG FBWT

This is where I started so that I thought I could get these sizes in these papers. Most retailers don't list these in this size.

Furthermore the D2D list only has MG RC in 10s and 50s in 11x14.

There is no RC MGWT, MG FB or MG FBWT listed on D2D for 11x14 even though it is on your product list.

Furthermore the price for RC MG is quoted as £36.85 for 50 sheets via D2D. But Morco is selling this at £23 and Silverprint at £27.62. So D2D seems quite expensive.

Am I missing something???

Thanks, but I only use glossy. Is paper still OK after 5 years? I guess it is if it has been frozen or fridged?

This is an interesting question. Paper doesn't seem to have dates on it like film. I just received an 11x14 box of Kentmere RC and the box is rather tatty and old looking, but no dates so I can't tell how long it had been on the shelf.

Hopefully it doesn't matter too much.
