So why is it graded B&W paper is so hard to find in 11x14 size? I don't at all care for using VC paper, but I like making prints that size. It seems like the only place I've found it is Freestyle, and precious little there. Is it simply a supply/demand issue? I wouldn't think I'm the only dude looking for it.....

I'm a fan of 11x14 too, however, it's a geographical issue. In the US, 11x14 is common, in Europe, nobody seems to care. With most paper manufacturers left in Europe, we can only hope for localized marketing efforts.

I've been known to print on 12x16 and cut 11x14 out of it.

Ilford seem to do all their papers in 11x14

Don't think either FOMA or ADOX support this size

11x14 is an American size; the Europeans have 12x16 as their equivalent

I have cut 12x16 down to 11x14 occasionally but there is an awful lot of paper left over.

Thats where you get your test strips.

I keep stock of Bromide, Kentona and a bit of Ilford Gallierie in 11x14.
There is a good supply just not much demand. Few stores keep good supplies of FB paper at all. Those that do have no interest in keeping a selection of grades in stock... it's a snowball effect going the wrong way.

Bromide seems to have the largest grade selection available.

Yes, but it's not always available in Europe. Ilford cuts 11x14 for the US!

Ralph, you’re absolutely right, it’s not a very common size in Europe

Both Silverprint and Ag Photographic stock it - but they are the exception rather than the rule

It’s also available through the Ilford direct selling Harman Express scheme - http://www.harmanexpress.com/

I find it somewhat ironic that just as its availability is fading in the USA, more places in the UK are stocking it

I always print 14x11 (from 5x4) and have always used 12x16 paper, only recently getting some 14x11 Emaks from freestyle. The 12x16 never bothered me though, because as mentioned above, the extra makes great test strips.
