A recent medical scare has finally convinced me that it's time to shed weight, both my own and that of my equipment, so I'm offering up some of my larger or heavier gear over the next few months.
Here's a nice 105mm f/8 Fujinon-SW in a Copal 0 shutter. This is the later "NSW" version with multi-coating and takes 77mm filters. Its 100-degree field of view gives a 250mm image circle at f/22 so it's very usable on 5x7 in addition to providing essentially unlimited movements on 4x5. My kitchen scale says it weighs 602 grams with caps and retaining ring. The glass is clean and clear with a few specs of internal dust and no obvious cleaning marks. There are various scuff and scrapes, all purely cosmetic signs of usage, on the shutter and lens barrels. Filters screw in smoothly. I haven't used this lens since buying it several years ago; to be honest, I can't even remember why I thought I needed it.
I measured the shutter speeds at f/22 with an old Calumet tester (admittedly I've never tested the tester's accuracy). They're quite repeatable and remarkably accurate between 1 sec and 1/125 sec, all measuring within 1/4 stop of ideal. 1/250 was 0.6 stop slow and 1/500 was about 1 stop slow. To the best of my memory this is the most accurate shutter I've ever measured; the sheets that came with new Copal shutters said that 30% error - almost 0.4 stop - one way or the other was considered "in spec"!
Here's a poorly-formatted table with the marked and measured speeds along with the error.
Marked - Measured - Error
1 sec - 1.04 sec - < 1/10 stop slow
1/2 sec - 0.48 sec - < 1/20 stop fast
1/4 - 0.27 sec - 1/10 stop slow
1/8 - 0.11 sec - 1/7 stop fast
1/15 - 0.058 sec - 1/5 stop fast
1/30 - 0.033 sec - 1/30 stop fast
1/60 - 0.017 sec - < 1/10 stop slow
1/125 - 0.0097 sec - 1/4 stop slow
1/250 - 0.0060 sec - 0.6 stop slow
1/500 - 0.0039 - 1 stop slow
My asking price of $315 includes insured US shipping and PayPal goods and services fees. I will ship only to the verified PayPal shipping. For another $20 I'll include a Nisi brass 77mm-82mm step-up ring and a Tamron 82mm center-pinch lens cap.
Given the high cost of international shipping and import duties I'd really like to sell this within the US.
