After reading this thread I went to the B&H website and discovered that they were selling 100' rolls of FP4+ for $50.95. Do you suppose Kodak and Ilford are having a price war?

No, FP4+ 100' has been around $50 for the last couple of years. It has been my main 35mm film for a while.

Good news overall, but purple backing and arching made this film undesirable for me a while ago. I spend my money on Ilford and Kentmere bulks. But if Kodak will return TriX price to normal...

I have been shooting TMX100 pretty steadily Ko.Fe. and have no difficulty with curling (arching?) Likewise, any purple tone disappears with adequate fixing and washing.

Next, rather than compare prices between fp4+ and Tmax, you should be comparing Delta 100 ($64.95) and Tmax ($59.95) as they are similar films. Sorry, I like FP4+, but it is a different film.
