Actually not so bad - IF you ignore the bad title and the lousy attempt at tongue in cheek sarcasm. The tone comes off a little too snide and sardonic.

I wonder how many horrible shots are in his portfolio? That guy needs to be clocked in the head with a very heavy TLR. Where's my Mamiya?

Obviously satire but I could not stop singing in my head "one of these things is not like the others,,,"

Maybe the critics can show their own photos?

His argument against Adams is that inexperienced or out-of-practice photographers miss their shots because they can't decide on shadow exposure quickly enough? Sorry but I quit reading after that. If the article is satirical then I guess I'll never see that for myself. :D

That this blatantly satirical piece outraged/offended you suggests that a) you're humorless and self-regarding and/or b) can't see more than a grain of truth in the joke. News flash--that's what satire is. Lighten up.

People, photographers being included in the group are products of their time. But most if not all the photographers mentioned here did work against the current styles of their time. Adams photos today might seem trite and overdone now. But he took photography in a new direction away from Pictorialism. Arbus' photos were shocking during a time when photos were supposed to be nice n' pretty. She had an obsession with "freaks". She portrayed them as just another facet of humanity.

You know what they say about critics? They're like palace eunuchs? They can watch but can't do it  That's what I love about art, they're aren't any rights or wrongs. The worst can happen is you get offended. That means that the viewer has ventured outside of their comfort zone which is good.

I thought for sure Cindy Sherman would be there. I don't know if I see that as satire. It seems plain old cynical. And then I ask what do they mean by ignore? Never look at again? Don't think about them? There are a host of photographers whose work bores me to tears, but I always look at new work of theirs if I come across it, and thoughts may or may not form. I think the article is good as a debate topic, but I wonder if they have a list of ten photographers that they think we should pay a lot of attention to. Then we could see where this is going. As it is, it's just a grumpy opinion piece meant to provoke.
