I got impression that this thread put the tools and product in one pot and then try to hold one ingredient against another. All famous masters used the same brushes/basic colors/words in their masterpieces. We should study their techniques that resonate with human perception and create our own product. And the most important aspect is the unique meaning that will be embedded in the each piece by author.

Meh- I like and admire the work of all the artists mentioned in the article. The reader has to interpret and use the information in the article the way they want. If this article pisses you off....let it....use it...then make some new work about. We are all standing on the shoulders of giants, to use a trite and overworked phrase, there are few things that have genuinely not been photographed, and I feel that it is my personal job to make the same already used things in my own work to say something unique and individual. Not sure of the authors' actual intentions in the piece, but no matter what they are, use the article for your benefit, and not just piss ya off for someone having the audacity to publish something like this.
