personally, I think its a very nice shot. The lower contrast and slightly blown out highlights help give it an "airy" feeling.
but then again, I like lower contrast ;).
but I will agree its not the sharpest shot overall though. most people who would look at it would see two young girls in a...
no, its most likely a an old roll of reversal(transparency) film stock, older films(other than kodachrome really) fade to magenta, sometimes yellow. generally they dark fade, some light fade however.
you'll need to have it sc@nned and burned to a dvd so you can edit it on the computer in a...
bump.
still in search of both 105mm filters(preferably a UV and a polarizer now, but Yellow/Orange and Red as well) and Kodak Master View 8x10 lensboards
thanks
-Dan
wblynch,
make sure to use a UV filter here in So-cal, really helps! you can also use a skylight-1a filter which helps to warm things up a tad as well.
cheers!

R-mount(I used it on an R4s)
you can also use this on a nikon or canon(eos) mount slr camera via an adapter(leitax or other ones on ebay) that allows you to change the mount for the camera.
thanks for your interest

I've been wondering the same thing. Seeing that I'm a college student, I'm not made of money, so getting new lenses for my 8x10 will take a while. The only real problem that I can see is that there are some people out there that WON'T return your lens, even when they're supposed to.
the other...
try this:
close your eyes. Breathe out, clear your mind. The first int'l country that pops into your brain, go there. As long as it isn't all that "harmful" or "dangerous" to Americans/Canadians, like Saudi Arabia(not that its bad, but I wouldn't go alone personally). If you don't want to do...
the 67II is an slr. you can load a roll without having to cover the lens. No darkslide, the shutter covers the film preventing unwanted exposure.
its not like a film back, since there isn't one ;)

Hey guys,
I think he's looking to start a 'mini' mini-lab, not just process his own film. Hence, a small 'fee'.
Chan, are you wondering dip-n-dunk, or roller transport(mini-lab film processor, hated by some for scratching issues?)
cheers!

sorry, already got a big gitzo series 5.
probably TOO big for this great camera.
might trade it up to the carbon fiber version down the line though, just to save weight.
but going to like 12' fully extended, or down to 6" above the ground, to me, its worth its weight in gold :).

thanks David,
just had my 1st go at developing by inspection last night, so far, looks good! Worked with just one negative(8x10), but I exposed a few other sheets, which I'll do tonight in batches of 2 sheets/run.
the only problem is though: my dad bitches at me about "water usage". Living in...
hey all,
I'll be assisting Michael A. Smith and his wife Paula in Iceland during their workshop this summer, and I'm expecting to shoot a good bit myself when I get the chance. However, since I'm still quite new to shooting 8x10, I'm in need of some 8x10 film boxes. Preferably for free(I'll...
hey all,
after recently coming into the possession of a new lens/camera combo, I need a few things to round it out.
1. Kodak Master View lensboards(the 8x10 camera that is). I don't have much money(college student), but I have a 210mm Fujinon that I'd like to use on it that needs a lensboard...
If I weren't so addicted to Portra 400NC/VC, I'd shoot just as mugh 400h.
its one bitchin film, to say the least! Sc@ns well too, oops :p.
here's two shots from a shoot a while back. Got some test rolls from the Fuji rep @ the store I used to work at, shot on an RZ@2.8(110mm) on both. Stupid...
