Jeff, no, I understand that, I am speaking of the tiny little silver piece about 1/32 of an inch "inside" the holder that would grab the end of the packet when pulling out.
I am assuming John is speaking of this?
Hi, I happen to love the look of wedding and all around photographer of this gent as well as Jose Villa. Both 100 pct film photographers.
I've been trying for months to get this look. Using such as 400H and 800z Fuji films with over exp. a stop or so. (I listen to their Analog Radio...
First time using the 545 pola back and type 55 film.
I placed the envolope in the holder exactly as described and when I pulled out the tabs (envolope) the film should stay in the holder so the picture can be taken. I didn't think so after running my thumb and forefinger on the env. and...
Thank you all for taking your time and helping me figure this out. I'll try the existing 135 first for a portrait, develop and see and then go from there and post my results.
Thank you again.
Tom
My bud and I will be in the Village on Halloween night. Let me tell you, there is NO better photo op that this, if you'd like I'd be more then happy to explain.
P.S. When doing this or even without logging, follow Kodak (for example) pdf's on that specific film. NOT on-line i.e., Massive Dev Chart. Then stick to it.
A great many times the film mfr's will include Rotary dev times that I've found perfect for me.
I use the Jobo 2300 ATL. Here is the bottom line that I found.
After many different results with each different film, NOT just different chems, i.e., C-41,E-6,BW, I had to begin a log. I can post a draft for you to see and customize to your own. (Excel file)
For example: in the C-41 world...
Your timing is perfect!
Robert Frank's "America" is now at the Moma... A can't "afford not to see"
And....

Nice and your welcome... I have seen many a Apug'er do such things for heads ups here. I think is uber-unique and classy.
I hope the winner is from here. Good luck to him.
Today, in the darkroom, complete darkness I placed a 4x5 sheet in the back of the Polaroid 150. Sure it's a one at a time deal, but I can't wait to develop and see what comes out and then leverage it to more suitable subjects from the minds eye.
I also use the Fuji FP-100c in my Mamiza RZ67...
I disagree with this strongly as well.
Almost every schools darkroom I've been in has several of these and they get used, daily, believe me.
They are tough and get the job done.
Invest the money now and get a good Logan and the only thing you'll ever need going forward is razors.
If...
Thanks....
I'm going to use my old speed graphic for fun now, she has a 135mm lens which I think may be a bit wide for portraits??
I can't really afford at this time anything fancy.
Any advice please?
THANKS
I get the back Matte mounting Tissue roughly square and simply use a tack Iron in the Center to have the Tissue, which is the "glue" not move. Then off to the cutting table, or a Matte cutter can be used also, after I trim my photo as I wish, and Square, and again, with the tissue still center...
