I think that I have gotten to the 14 f/stops SBR aka SLR on Kodak Portra 400 and Tri-X 400 films. Of course putting in on paper is something else completely when getting 6 f/stops can be a big deal.

I use replenished XTOL in a Jobo processor for 35mm, 120 and 4"x5".

What he said. I use a thick block of soft linoleum or rubber to thump my tanks on. I remove the film from the reel and put the film in a different container with PhotoFlo. That way the PhotoFlo does not get on my reels.

And you will end up with thin negatives lacking details especially in the shadows. So much for endless useless wasteful unnecessary testing. One can never test a film as much as the manufacturer has already done.
