I used a range finder with my Voigtländer Vito IIb when I first started using it with ISO 64 film but ended up estimating the distance and using a smaller aperture to get the greater depth of field as a safety margin. Using ISO 400 film eliminated the need for a range finder.
My go to black & white film is Kodak Tri-X 400 shot at box speed. I use it with my Hasselblad 503 CX, Hasselblad 903 SWC and my Nikon F100.

It is a slide rule not a slide ruler and I have one. It is an analog calculating device that uses logarithms. A slide rule calculates mantissas and the use figures out the exponent. No batteries are required.
One can frame a dollar and hang it on the wall. Some do that with the first on they earned or if they have a silver certificate they got before they were withdrawn from circulation.
