I always use Skylight 1A filters and never had a problem over many decades. Whatever you choose, just use the same type of filter on everyone of your lenses or you will see a difference.
My darkroom is dark enough for using an enlarger, but using the Changing Room I have a garanteed dark space that I can load 4"x5" sheet film into a Grafmatic 45 or safely open a 35mm camera or a Hasselblad.

Was there a problem with the way the film captured the photograph? Lack of shadow detail or too much shadow detail? Blown out high lights? Are the exposures so acceptable that you never noticed the film difference?
I stopped bracketing two decades ago. I had my light meters calibrated. I learned how to use the correctly and the need to bracket left a long time ago.
