Help with developing time Kodak double x

It matters a whole lot if you own Kodak Alaris, and if you are Eastman Kodak and a party to the contract that exists between Kodak Alaris and Eastman Kodak, which doesn't allow Eastman Kodak to sell Kodak branded still film, or any film intended to be used as still film, to anyone other than...

    Huh? Why does that matter?

Help with developing time Kodak double x

Because Kodak Alaris paid a huge amount for and owns the rights to distribute and market Kodak branded still film, and Eastman Kodak is restricted to marketing and distribution of Kodak branded motion picture film.

6 years after, how is the longevity of the new HC-110?

They were the actual manufacture for Kodak Alaris (post Tetenal bankruptcy) and then for Sino Promise - at least for the portion of the worldwide product labelled as "Made in USA". And that changed formulation was always designed to give users the same results, when reasonably fresh, as the...

    Preserving C41 developer

I can't help but feel that some of these formulas have some sort of "anti-oxidizing" additive??? I don't know. Seems like my Kodak and Fuji chemistry has a better record (of course this was with the Kodak Alaris China stuff). 🤔 😟😊

Kodak/Alaris was a shotgun marriage under duress for both sides.

Kodak no longer selling E100D directly to customers?

Vision 3 was/is quite lovely and that'd be sad to see it being taken away. I have 0 respect towards Kodak / Alaris and their questionable business practices. Have you seen Kodak branded SSD's? 🤣

Kodak no longer selling E100D directly to customers?

I heard that there is drama between Kodak Alaris and Eastman Kodak. Motion Picture sales to anything outside of motion picture projects is forbidden now(as far as i understand), so this decision is a massive blown for anyone aiming to bulk load motion picture film. Tri-X, Vision 3.. all the good...

Fresh XTOL from PSI and thin Negatives

Thanks for contacting Kodak Alaris Yes, that is true. We are now coating our Professional Color Negative Films (Portra / EKTAR) on 0.10 mm (3.94 mil) KODAK ESTAR. There are a number of benefits to ESTAR: It is manufactured by Eastman Kodak Kodak ESTAR features very high clarity /...

I was stuck on the Tri-x price reduction in 35mm but otherwise is incomprehensible the +20% of Tmax in 120 format...

...From EK's point of view, they are a much better repository of the brand than Sino Promise was, but EK had no say in the sale of what was Kodak Alaris' to sell. EK is merely fortunate enough to be able to benefit from Sino Promise' demise, because Kodak Alaris was unable or unwilling (or...

To quote myself “…Kodak (?* photo systems, alaris, Sino promise, etc.) never bothered to do the tests to update their data sheets that photographers rely on because at this point they are not photographers or concerned with photography at all. They're just chemistry manufacturers/distributors.”...

Fresh XTOL from PSI and thin Negatives

Where are you getting the idea that Eastman Kodak is changing the thickness of the acetate on Portra 400 and Ektar. This is nonsense. If you are running a laboratory you should be running test strips even on black and white. I've not had a problem with any XTOL, not Tetenal made (beautiful...

...the brand name - since the bankruptcy. EK doesn't even have a direct connection with the film datasheets - those are now entirely Kodak Alaris. EK has no more control over what Photo Systems are doing, as long as the terms of the brand licensing are complied with. For example, if you look at...

I have sent all these facts to Kodak Alaris because they are our trading partners (I try a contact photosys in 2025). Now I have developed a Tri-X in X-Tol (currently 04/2024 - Made in USA)...

Absolutely. I believe this is a valid point, whether or not the chemistry you purchase is considered "reliable/trustworthy" or more in the "unreliable/risky" category. I’ve lost interest in “Kodak” chemistry. In 2019, I purchased multiple packages of D-76, Xtol, and Dektol from different...

...it is their (Kodak TM/C with a circle around it/R or whatever) problem. As a consumer (I'm not a lab, I'm not a photofinisher, I have no Kodak Alaris account or whatever, I just buy their junk at Freestyle) I look at the big yellow Kodak logo and I buy their product and I use it as they...

As there is no Kodak maintained information about XTol any more, it is Photo Systems that you need to address your wish to. The problem of course is that there are references to the old XTol numbers in the film datasheets, which are hosted by Kodak Alaris.

...latest that I have seen. It is quoted from an email message that someone shared from the director of the "film capture product line" at Kodak Alaris. February 2024: "135 format Gold 200, UltraMax 400, ColorPlus 200, ProImage 100, and Portra 800 coat on ESTAR." "135 format EKTAR 100, Portra...

You totally misunderstood my post. Please reread it. I never said that I thought anyone was greedy. I was responding to others who thought that. I said that without looking at their books, there's no way to ascertain anything about their markups or whether they're greedy or not. And I never...

Why would you expect that any commercial entity would share that information? And which of all the international markets that Kodak Alaris serves would you like to see the information for? And in EK's case, does needing a minimum return on investment in order to justify resources being applied...

Maybe Kodak Eastman's markups of roll still film to Alaris are too high and it's Eastman ruining relations with you?

Alaris's lawyers would certainly have something to say.

And we can see how there is absolutely no demand for bulk rolls where Kodak doesn't allow "civilians" to order even 400ft rolls of cine film, ccc... People would bankrupt Alaris if EK sold 100ft (or even 400ft) rolls of Gold, Portra and Ektar at cine film prices.
