...was created with it over the decades. I think this is why it's put on such a high pedestal in the film community.
If Kodak (rather KodakAlaris) decided to bring this back in a way that was scalable and had a good ROI, I would applaud them, but I just don't see it happening. Ektachrome was...
...it in half. Processed in the old and new both worked fine. I think that there was just a packaging mixup. Either way I will continue to use XTOL and rely on KodakAlaris to let us know if something is suspect, like they have before. There's more reason than ever to try to work with the...
Wish I had read this only one day sooner! I just developed a batch of film with less than stellar results, likely due to wrongly assuming this most recent iteration of Flexicolor cat # 3667805 did not require starter.
I created a 1L batch of said Flexicolor cat # 3667805 using the following...
...tank solution:
Use 860 ml of developer replenisher cat# 3667805 (parts A,B,C mixed with water)
Add 18 ml of developer starter cat# 6601074
Add water to make 1L volume

That appears to be an older version. This is the link I get when I go to KodakAlaris' site from my location in Canada:

...I only see LORR everywhere. I am having a hard time to assemble a non-LORR Flexicolor kit. The Z-131 makes it sound like cost-saving/environmental line, while I am only interested in image quality. I started another thread here about this and sent an email to KodakAlaris, but nothing so far...
I've recently become aware that KodakAlaris has a dedicated email for paper and chemical issues: ProPaperChem@kodakalaris.com
It might be worthwhile to send your query to that email as well.
You might consider contacting KodakAlaris directly with your query.
This email is a new one (from my perspective) that can be found on the KodakAlaris website: ProPaperChem@kodakalaris.com
There is a new note on KodakAlaris' website about just this problem:
Update: HC-110 precipitate; August 14, 2020
We’ve had reports of precipitate forming in the bottom of unopened bottles of HC-110 developer
Our investigation has shown that crystals form with freezing. As a result, our...

It also isn't clear whether the black and white chemicals are expected to remain with film in KodakAlaris' portfolio - all the references I have seen to the photo-chemical business have referenced the colour photo-chemical...
Well... what is the "kodak arm" today ? https://www.dpreview.com/news/1876649850/report-kodak-alaris-has-sold-off-its-paper-and-chemical-division-to-its-largest-chinese-distributor

(1) The original KodakAlaris bottles contain A=1500ml, B=500ml and C=757ml.
(2) The proportions recommended on Page 2 of CIS-49 suggest that for mixing for a 1L solution...
Thank you, foc. The 20L kit is kodakalaris Cat 3667805. Its a LOT of developer, and it may go bad before I use it all. I just have to get to shooting more film and working fewer post-retirement hours!!! I already have several cases of 1L bottles with phenolic poly caps that are O2 proof...
What does one do with the Developer Starter? I have the 20L flexicolor box with ABC, but the KodakAlaris instructions are vague as to when one uses the starter additive. Do I add the 30ml to a liter of mixed or omit it all together?
...I would take 763ml of the ABC mixed already, add 30ml of starter and dilute to 1000ml.
It is typically vague and unclear from the KodakAlaris instructions if I should even be using starter (they recommend a certain proportion for ABC to make a Liter, but don't mention starter amounts).
Any...

Do you know if KodakAlaris markets photographic chemicals manufactured by anyone other than Kodak? Is KA required to only source and market from Kodak?
To assume any reason for these changes other than continuity of business, and an effort to make a profit for the pensioners, is Nuts. KodakAlaris is trying to unload these businesses ASAP. The color negative paper and KodakAlaris chemistry business has been sold to in the words of one of our...
B&H has Ilfotec HC listed for $72 per quart. Freestyle has it for about $65 per quart. At these prices it would cost a bit under $1 for develop on roll of 120 unreplenished using 1:31 dilution. Kodak's version is 1/2 the price. Of course I don't know what all this means because I have no...
...probably switch to Eco-Pro and buy two or three packages up front.
I'm after a couple different things: consistency, non-dependence on KodakAlaris (in whom my confidence has been dropping for a while), and lowest possible cost. If I could confirm Mytol self-replenishment that would clearly...
