I use that 80mm lens the most. I found that the 60mm lenses is too close to the 80mm lens to be of much use. Therefore I use the 50mm lens with the 80mm lens as a pairing. I own the 30mm C Fisheye, 38mm 903 SWC, 50mm CF, 80mm CF, 100mm CF, 150mm CF, 250mm CF, 500mm C and the 2XE extender.
As my girlfriend always tells me, "If you want that camera, you will use it and enjoy it, and it will make you happy, you should go ahead and buy it. You have spend your adult life buying things that for others that they thought they needed or wanted, so now is the time in your life to buy the...
Since there were never enough 220 film emulsions for me, 220 film often cost more than twice the cost of two 120 rolls and processing a roll of 220 film also cost more than twice one roll of 120 film, I never saw a reason to buy A24 backs for my Hasselblads.
That is what I do. Shoot from the street of other public property and move on. I cannot remember when someone bothered my about photographing buildings, people can be another problem. Then again, I do not do street photography.
I can develop C421 films cheaply enough. My problem is taking the time to set up the darkroom to print each negative for a few rolls of 120 or 135 film. I just take the film to Samys and have them develop and print each roll.
Verichrome Pan was discontinued because it contained Cadmium. To come up with a replacement would require R&D. Why would Kodak spend R&D money for a film with virtually no demand?
[silly flag on] Which begs the question: If I started scanning my film and then throwing the film out, would I be come younger? Please advise. [silly flag off]
As Brian discusses, this is a topic that reaches religious proportions, much like which end of an egg to open in Gulliver's Travels. I pre-soak all films except Kodak Tri-X 400 when using replenished XTOL in the JOBO processor following advice given in a book on the Jobo processor.

I use XTOL replenished because of the improved performance and it happens to be less expensive that way. Replenished and stock XTOL tightly sealed lasts for years.

I too have a Nikonos V and three lenses. I have a great service technician a long drive across town away. I bought three sizes of O rings and the Nikon photographic marine grease on line.
Most reliable for serious work: Hasselblad 503 CX and Hasselblad 903 SWC
Most reliable for all work: Nikon N75, N80, N100
