Hey all,
I'm selling some of my unused/underused film stock. This is what's getting sold first, potentially more coming(different emulsions, sizes, etc):
(100) roll case of 120 Fuji Velvia 50
5 roll pro-packs, 20 pro packs in the case
UNOPENED, SEALED CASE
03/2015 dated. All the same emulsion...
I (might) be, if you have a Rollei 6008 Integral kit or a Pentax 67II kit. The Rollei is one of the systems I've never tried, but have lusted after for awhile.
Otherwise, cash money :)
I'd go with Ektar 100, and rate it at ASA of 80. Slide film is great, but if you're not within 1/3 stop of your intended highlight density, it can make it hard to regain a balanced exposure, or pull highlight detail "in", even with scanning.
Getting your light ratios correct will be the best...
Selectively culling some of my 8x10 film stock. All currently frozen, and much was acquired from sources that also froze their film up until the point of sale.
Right now, I'm looking to sell, or trade.
What I have for sale/trade:
1. Ektachrome 64 (EPR) : 8x10 * 10shts/box * sealed boxes * 11...
Which, if actually happens, will be a really bad day for some wedding shooters I know. They use 220 simply because it allows them to shoot faster, and with less bulk... Commercial photographers w/ assistants, and shooting on a tripod, usually have a second chance. Weddings, not so...
As of my writing this, I've come to a big query or cost analysis of 120 vs 220 Whuuuuuut?
Portra 160 (120) $5.50/roll
Portra 160 (220) $14.79/roll
Portra 400 (120) $5.79/roll
Portra 400 (220) $15.19/roll
What gives, Kodak/Alaris? Does the 220 option give you better pictures ;) (saying this...
a UV filter alone WILL NOT cut out the bluish cast from the open sky. You'll need to warm it up slightly, to help correct the light back to a more "normal" color temperature.
I've found that at higher elevations(like in the mtns) a warmer filter, such as an 81B is needed to help balance things...
also, it looks as if you shot this under clear, blue sky conditions? If so, then you're working against "pleasing" light color-wise. You'll want to use a skylight/1a filter to help balance out. It has a slight pink cast to it, which helps to counteract the blue hue imparted to anything bathed in...
On my macbook pro's screen, the portra has a cyanish/bluish cast to it.
allow me, if I may, to simply do a simple color adjustment on it(file uploaded below)
I simply did a slight curves adjustment to the supplied file, to provide a pleasing(to my eye at least) color balance, compared to the...
Hey all,
I picked this up from some friends earlier this year, as my other MF system(GX680III) isn't what I'd consider all that "portable" :). Anyhow, I've given this kit a few months of exercise, but despite it being a wonderfully capable camera, I don't think it's a right fit for me and my...
