Love the theme 👍 Here are three. Old tree trunk in Palermo, Sicily on Ilford Delta 400 120 , Old some kind of a machine (somewhere ?) in Egypt also Delta 400 120, Old again curved agava on Ilford HP5 4x5.
I don’t make salt prints but I have made many pt/pd prints from negatives enlarged on to x-ray duplicating film. It has given me excellent results and is a reversal film so that eliminates a step. It costs more than x-ray film. I now usually go the digital route with my 3880 and Pictorico.
I also have a Leitz projector. One thing you might consider is that it doesn’t take the same slide trays as your Kodak projectors. They may be harder to find. There may be a stack loader for it. Mine is 40+ years old and still works like new.
Three of many from trips to the American Southwest. All from Ilford Delta 400 120. Spider Rock canyon de Chelly,Az , Capitol Reef,Utah and Bryce Canyon,Utah. Originals are silver prints these were from negative scans. Some cropping and slight curve adjustment...
Plus one on your photographs. I visited Iceland a few years ago and despite the rain and fog managed some good images. I came prepared with extra large ziplock bags that I had rigged to protect my cameras and a waterproof camera backpack. The rain wasn’t heavy mainly a drizzle or mist. The...
Yes as Matt said. I have the same but full set. You can blend them as well. I have some white porcelain dishes that I have placed drops of each and blend when needed
I’m only 5’11 so you have three inches on me. Some years ago I traveled twice with a Toyo 4x5 field camera, two lenses,a few filters, light meter and film and several holders. Plus a Leitz Tiltall. The lenses were a 120 and a 210. It worked fine. I didn’t use an extra head just the two way...
Busy with home repairs but here are two old and two rather new approximately 6 mo. My wife wasn't too happy about me setting up the candle one but I did clean it up. ☹️
All four on Delta 400 120. The two old : snow scene in Wyoming Grand Teton National Park and Monument valley with a cloud...
At the place I suggested in Tuscany you have your own apartment. different sizes depending on the size of your party. Worth a look see on their website if anyone is planning such a trip. A lot of photography opportunities in that area.
Alan and anyone else
If you plan to return to Italy especially Tuscany I can recommend staying at Tuneta di Corsano. It’s a villa with apartments, an infinity pool , vineyards and their own wine. Great location to take day trips from Twenty minutes to Sienna, easy drive to San Gimignano...
What you are discussing is way above me but you may want to check out On 1 software. They have a number of presets that may already do some of the things you plan.

Some thirteen years ago Carl Juste put together an exhibition of the twenty-five top American photojournalists and Lynsey Addario was included. He has very many references on the web. Check him out if you want to see more work of another multi award winning photographer...
Plus one in thanks for sharing. Along her line of photojournalism yet somewhat of a different background I can suggest another topnotch photojournalist you probably never heard of is Carl Juste.
Although we are very different from each other, Carl and I are friends. I am old enough to be his...
A quick thought. I always take trousers that have a pocket that zips the opposite way. Up to open and down to close. Columbia brand makes them. I carry my camera and film for the day in a simple day pack held by my side and money and Id under my shirt. My wife does the same and through many...
Just decided to take a look at my pristine first edition copy of In The American West to see for myself. I happened to notice that only two images were of persons in a west coast state. That was California and one of those was the beekeeper. The text rather clearly describes how the book project...
Don’t know what size you are printing but if you can mask the lines on the shoulders possibly with rubylith or strips of paper you could then spot them in with Spotone or such. As said it not so easy
In Barcelona we stayed at the Room Mate Pau Hotel. Excellent location and room at a reasonable rate. Our room had a great shower that I actually thought was a sauna. The breakfast was also a very nice buffet. The person at the front desk made reservations for us at a restaurant near by that had...
If time permits while in Santorini consider a day trip on a smaller catamaran ( around 12 or so people) includes a bbq and drinks and if you don’t mind cold water, a short swim to a so called hot spring. We also took the public bus to Fira. Join the crowd for the sunset Oia. We weren’t on a...
I don’t recall the year but Arnold Newman had attended the University of Miami and was having an exhibition at the Loew Museum on campus. As part of his visit he juried a show for an organization I belonged to that met at the U. Before the events we hosted a member’s cocktail party for him and...
4x5 is for my purpose the most practical. That is the largest size negative my enlarger can handle plus it’s easy to scan and to make pt/pd prints all from the same negative. If I want to make larger pt/pd prints I can do that from the scan on to PictoRico for a larger negative.
The prints I referred to above were from PS files that were scanned Ilford Delta 400 120 negatives that I scanned at 2400ppi (so called) with SilverFast Studio8 on an Epson 850. The printer had equipment capable of billboard size printing. He had large Canon printers that he used only for...
Five years ago I had a gallery exhibition where several images were professionally enlarged to 5ft and one to 6ft. I assume that large photographs are intended to be displayed on a wall. The viewer will usually stand back far enough to see the entire picture. The ones I referred to were quite...
Back in the early seventies I bought a Panagor 200mm lens for a Minolta SRT 101 for $40 new. Tack sharp glass. This was through a thick glass wall of an upper floor hotel room
I’m not using an aquarium heater, just the opposite living in south Florida I keep a gallon of distilled water in a refrigerator to cool developer when developing film. I thought it would be a simple way to heat containers of water in his darkroom to a specific temperature. I wasn’t suggesting...
