    TX400 - HP5+ Shootout

It might be a bit hard to shoot Tri-X 400 in 4"x5". Ilford HP5+ might work out better.

    Travelling with B&W

For 35mm I use a 28mm to 300mm AF zoom lens and a 20mm to 28mm AF zoom lens. For medium format 6x6 in 120 film I travel with the Hasselblad 903 SWC 38mm lens, 50mm lens, and the 80mm lens.

Why do scanning companies not produce better scanners instead of always going downhill?

The market became small and continues to shrink in size. There is not enough business to encourage further investment.

Confusing state of Hasselblad A12 film back

The arm should also set the frame number to '0', although I have a few film backs without '0' and have a ' ' [blank] instead.

Jobo CPP3, pre wash and dev times

I tend to do more black & white development than color with the Jobo processor because I do not like having to print each color photograph. I would rather send it out and not save up rolls of color film to process. Welcome to Photrio!

Confusing state of Hasselblad A12 film back

I had a similar problem years ago. I do not remember the details, but there is a rod that resets the frame number when the film is removed from the back. Samys Camera took care of the adjustment.

How do I properly cold-store film in a refrigerator or freezer?

Only freeze film that is still sealed in the factory packaging. If the packaging has been open the put the film in a ZipLock bag, push the air out and store in the refrigerator, not the freezer. I have been freezing my film since 2003.
