I contacted LLL a week ago on a whim about their optics facilities and asked about the film project, they said they'll have multiple updates to share soon after their email backlog. They'll be split into 3 updates due to their length. Exciting!!

Also, you can see on their Insta story they have something about cutting 4x5 on their machine!

I hope LLL can be listed overseas soon. Their film is currently undergoing small-scale public testing. The testing fee is 1,000 RMB (150 USD), which allows you to gradually receive 100 rolls of 135 black-and-white film (36 exposures) or 120 black-and-white film before January 31, 2028. Larger formats (4×5 or 8×10) and color film will be converted into equivalent quantities. However, these films are test rolls with different emulsion formulas and manufacturing processes before the official product launch. Additionally, the payment deadline for the test has already passed, which means no more people can join the test for now, but it is unknown whether they will recruit overseas friends to participate in the testing. At the moment they’re still beta testing film. It’s coming along just not too much to say at the moment.

I have considered sending @analogwisdom some IR film to use with their peel apart, and asked if that would be ok… but they are trying to get it to work with other films. the stuff I have now can be handled under green light for a time so it’s certainly possible to line up the film with the receiver. So, at the moment, it hasn’t happened… but it could!
