It was hot today, in the 90’s. Which is normal for April in Maryland. I just finished a local photo event with a club where we were challenged with attempting to only shoot 24 images, imitating a roll of film. It was fun being on that side of the trigger in that I know I wasn’t getting paid, so I didn’t have to impress anyone but myself. The organizers did say that this was no competition. But I sometimes find that competition is good for us. There’s still no prize. I hope to post an image or two tomorrow, if I can follow up on this thread.

Thank you all for your kind welcomes. It would be cool if there were local groups we could organize in Photrio (or is that an old and bad idea?). I know some of us photographers tend to be reclusive and introverted but I take Adderall and it's definitely pushing me into the extroversion I used to have. I'm up for meeting anyone on this site to go shooting. Let me know if you are interested.

You're welcome to do so. The site has had localized forums for a long time (https://www.photrio.com/forum/#photrio-regional-focus-groups.101), but frankly, they get very little traffic. While some Photrio posters are indeed members of local groups (e.g. @MattKing and @Andrew O'Neill happen to be in the same local photo club), it's fairly rare for these 'combinations' to exist. We also rarely see other kinds of meetups being facilitated through the site. Much of this has to do with the fact that we're pretty scattered across the globe.

Still, feel free to organize a meetup if you want. We'd also be happy to facilitate it, depending on what you need to be done. There's always the possibility to post a call in one of the local groups, or in the Member Organized Functions subforum.
