I have a roll of Rollei 400 IR. It expired in 2009, but was refrigerated. I'm thinking its about half as sensitive as it would be fresh. I will be developing it in Rollei Supergrain, but wonder if I should give the film more time in the soup. Any thoughts?

If it's been refrigerated I suspect it should be fine.

I was given a box of film that was expired for decades. I shot the TMax 100 at box speed and developed it normally, and I was surprised that I got good results out of it. I pushed the HP5+ one stop in development, and I got good results as well. The one film that I did have go off was Provia 400X. Instead of refrigerating it, I left it in my bag for a few years.

That’s cool that it’s actual Aviphot 400, I’d say treat it like superpan 200. Hopefully it’s 35mm and not 120.

In my experience, Aviphot films age well, if kept cool. Fridge is great, but freezer is best. I recently exposed a roll of Rollei IR expired 2014, that looks great. I would treat yours as normal.
