The last few bellows I've done I used E6000 because it's strong and sticks to everything. Also dries slowly, giving plenty of time to make adjustments.

A case for a Nikon Photomic FtN head. I wanted one to actually hold the finder when I put the plain prism on my Apollo F. ( I have two of these already, but they're busy. One holds a 21mm f/4 LTM Color-Skopar and finder. The other holds a 50mm f/3.5 uncoated LTM Collapsible Elmar, hood, filter, and filter adapter.)

Duclus light box for photographing small subjects. The last image was a quick and dirty handheld shot of my 1992 high school class ring taken with the Tamron 60mm f/2 macro lens. Ring needs a little cleaning up and a simple backdrop of some kind and it would look better.

I like how the unit folds out and back in. Very compact. You get around six PVC solid colored backgrounds and two mat solid backgrounds. There are also two diffuser sheets, one with and without a hole in the middle. The hole in one of the sheets takes into account for the opening on the top of the light box to where you can shoot downward onto the object, if you want.

A member here sold me a Pen FT with 4 lenses for $250. I only wanted one lens (the 25mm f/2.8) which on its own is worth more than the whole sale. Usually I don't get that lucky when buying things!

Despite it not being exactly "photography related", I drove to chicago over the weekend and bought this benchtop milling machine. I'm getting more and more into hobby machining, particularly for camera modifications & custom builds. definitely a great tool to add to my workshop

Nice. Had the 3.0 version, still had like 1/3rd of it left & ended up giving it to a friend of mine that makes painting for friends.

You did well. Some years ago, I looked at the inexpensive equivalent at HF and the backlash was so bad you could get black eye adjusting the thing! Some time after that, a retiring machinist of my acquaintance offered me a functioning Bridgeport vertical mill for no cost other than moving it from his old shop. I was soooo tempted, but I had nowhere to put it...

3-pack of Hoya filters for ~$16 shipped. Had a 55mm polarizing filter that I dont really need, but had 2 red filters, a 58mm & 55mm that I wanted.

Also got a 3d printed coldshoe extender printed at my local library as a "workaround" for the Hugo Meyer rangefinder I have to fit on my Kodak Monitor 620, as the adapter for the Meyer rangefinder to fit on a Kodak film camera is pretty much impossible to find. Plus, I dont have to carry around the rangefinder in my pocket when using my Kodak. I just used nail clippers to round out the corners of the 3d print to fit on the Kodak camera coldshoe & a bit of tape to keep it (somewhat) in place.

Ok, I have a 1913 made 13x18cm camera I really like (ICA Ideal 385), it's Compound shutter runs fine again, the lens is in good shape - but it came without film holders and a broken matte screen...

Anyway, I bought a pack of 25 sheets of Ilford FP4plus 13x18cm.

Good decision or stupidly optimistic?

Thank you!

I was keeping my eyes peeled for an older "mini" milling machine, to go alongside my 6" Atlas Clausing lathe. Fate would have it that I got word about this little mill in Chicago, and I immediately jumped on it. The impromptu trip to Chicago on Superbowl Sunday couldn't have been smoother. Everyone glued to their TV, and not out driving on the roads! 😆

Despite it's small size, this thing is HEAVY. Seriously! I don't want to imagine what it must be like moving a Bridgeport mill.

Sounds like an adventure to me! Those old plate cameras are great fun to shoot and generally produce great images.

Hi Kino!

Absolutely,
I have already have two 9x12cm Ica/Zeiss Ikon Ideal cameras, even a ready to use 1930's 9x12cm microscope camera system...

But there was that one framed 13x18cm contact print of the marriage of my parents (late 1960s), I saw for decades in the old home...

I really want to make some own contact prints that format.
The adventure is to find plate holders (Type 737/13 btw ;-) )
A custom ground glass can be made by a guy in France - my next step...

Greetings
Jens

A Nikon FM with a 50 1.8. My wife is helping a friend downsize. Huge task. I did not need another freaking camera. The camera is perfect, flawless. The lens filter ring is smacked. 50 bucks.
I need to downsize 🤔

Tiffen orange filter #16 arrived after clearing customs. Eager to test it out! Bought sodium metaborate to replenish my developer. Have a Sirui AM225 in cart but waiting to see if delaying my gratification will save me money.

Plan on a forklift and/or 3 ton or heavier hoist, plus a similarly rated truck...
