Why not a film camera with an EVF?

EVF in a film camera is an interesting concept, I have also thought about it before. I guess it's a bit overly complicated and probably expensive solution to a minor problem. I think it would be pretty popular with people getting into analog photography from digital, or maybe among the younger...

3D printed Etr Prism finder adapter for Shooting 645 on Kiev/Hasselblad

I made an adapter to fit Bronica ETR prisms on Hasselblad V or Kiev system cameras. I recently discovered I had a 645 back for my Kiev 88. With only a 45 deg prism, I couldn't really shoot in portrait so I figured I would adapt my Bronica prism. This way the finder is not only masked for 645...

3D printable 49mm filter slip on adapter for 36mm lenses ex: Mamiya Six, Zeiss Super Ikonta

When I made this adapter I didn’t really know anything about 3D modelling, I was just cutting up existing models and combining them in Blender. Recently however I picked up Fusion 360 and it’s been easy to learn and very intuitive for these camera projects. I believe there’s a free license...

3D printable 49mm filter slip on adapter for 36mm lenses ex: Mamiya Six, Zeiss Super Ikonta

No problem, I’m happy I could help! Black PLA should be perfectly fine, if they have matte black even better. I haven’t used the filter on my Mamiya yet as I haven’t gotten around to repairing the bellows, but I used a similar 3d printed adapter on a yashica tlr and it worked perfectly. I also...

Is the white face Copal No 3 actually a 3s?

Hello, I’m looking to adapt m42 lenses to a leaf shutter for a project I’m working on. I’m currently leaning towards a Copal 3 but they seem hard to come by. I’ve found some white face Copal 3 shutters but doing research I am confused if they’re actually No 3 or 3S Does anyone know the front...

Thanks for the reply. Do you know which of the four rings I should loosen to remove the rear lens group?

Flektogon 50mm f4 aperture opens but doesn't close

Recently got a Flektogon 50mm f4. It seemed to be stuck open on arrival. Opening the back, I can get the blades closed to f22, but upon reopening the aperture they remain fully open. Is this a mechanical problem or do the blades just need a cleaning? Here is a video If it’s just a cleaning...

Kiev88 to Pentacon Six adapter or replace lens?

It should be possible to unmount the coloured glass from one of the filters and replace it with a clear filter or any other desired unmouted filter. Just a matter of finding glass cut to the right size. I believe there’s a Chinese supplier, Tangsinuo, that sells various size and thickness...

Kiev88 to Pentacon Six adapter or replace lens?

Hello I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Kiev to P6 adapters from arax or eBay. I’ve heard some people complain they don’t work properly. Am I better off getting an adapter or selling my 30mm lens and buying one in the right mount?

Expired film trove - shooting and dev tips or test requests

Thanks for the comprehensive reply. I think for sure I’ll shoot all the bw, but for the color you’re probably right. Maybe I’ll just keep it for display as Brian suggested

70s found film Tri X, how should I develop?

Thanks for sharing, That’s a really cool photo! Your results came out pretty perfect so I’ll try similar dev times and see what comes out. On another note, I wonder if there’s a backing paper + 35mm cassette archive online somewhere to help date film and catalog the different designs

70s found film Tri X, how should I develop?

Found an exposed roll of TriX from about the 70s. What would be the best approach to developing? I currently have access to D-76 Thanks
