Issue with Mamiya C33 - looks like it has the 220 back installed?

Thanks! Yes this was the clue to investigate - and since the back door has no marking I looked for a depressed tab - there was no metal point to push the tab in that is to the right of the door I interlock so I fiddled with that button while winding a few and looks like the position may have...

Issue with Mamiya C33 - looks like it has the 220 back installed?

Hi All - working with a brand new to me Mamiya C33 - unfortunately on its first outing the camera which was operating very well rolled right past the 12th shot on my 120 roll, and I manually worked it into like #20 before unloading the film. To my knowledge the C33 doesnt have a switch plate...

    GX680 Film Holder Counter Problem

Glad to see it getting some love, its probably my favorite Giant "medium" format camera these days - I find that the lenses are some of the sharpest around, and I actually prefer my GX680 to the 6x6's I've used but mostly since I also love the GW690 rangefinder series. Very satisfying to shoot...

Getting some great use out of a Hasselblad H3D 31!

Hi everyone, Just wanted to say I've finally put together a hasselblad H3D 31 Kit and it is totally a blast to work with! I love the colors from this old Kodak sensor, and wonder if anyone else is using one of these vintage kits for some fun work :) Thanks! And here's a color sample from a...

    GX680 Film Holder Counter Problem

Yep I second the above - I've done 4 backs now, and the battery replacement requires just a screwdriver, and some sort of solder / or liquid solder, and above all the correct batteries with leads attached. I highly recommend purchasing a few of these batteries with the leads, as this will make...

    Thoughts on the Bronica S2?

Ha! Scary shutter sound :) But is it really louder than my Fuji GX680 giant mirror flapping and motor back winding? That seems to scare the wildlife for miles around when I use it in the field :)

Some love for the Fuji GX680III so big!

The IIIN is the most recent type, which takes either 120 or 220 inserts to determine film types. The older cheaper non-N backs have either 120, or 220 marked on the back itself, and a single insert, that is not interchangeable. You don't HAVE to replace the battery in the older backs, doing so...

Hi there - yes indeed all backs work across models, or at least the type before IIIN work fine, though the IIIN will likely lose the multi format mask functionality for non type III camera bodies. Good 120 film backs can be found from 50-80 dollars used and work quite well.

    Thoughts on the Bronica S2?

Hi everyone - was thinking of picking up a Bronica S2 - any particular standout features that users love ? I’m rather smitten with the results I see from the Nikon 75mm lens and looking for a more portable option than my Fuji GX689 :)
