Thanks for the reply. These conditions are definitely not the case. The E displays without the arrows indicating over or under the given range. And no matter what the scene is, or where I am pointing the meter within the scene, it just displays the E. Thanks again.

Suddenly my meter is displaying E when I try to take a reading. The subject was neither too dark or too bright for a reading. The battery is good. I have ISO/Time set to time, with time set at 60. I have FNo/EV set to EV. I have ISO set ISO at 100. Nothing else I can see on the display. These...
