the first one was taken in 2011, at EI 1000, #2 in 2022 also at 1000
third one was exposed at EI 1600 and that was honestly the best I got at that value, the rest started out like #4 and i think i accidentally tried to expose at EI 3200 on some of the other frames, was practically unusable due...

pretty excited about this, in spite of the current teething problems with getting colour/white balance right (from the samples posted in same)
I am the OP back after 11 years, finally exposed the rest of this same roll at EI 1600, developed in DK-50 stock 4:45 (72F)
actually got an image on the film (!), even after 11 more years of frozen storage. should have exposed at 1000, the shots i took present day are much harder to make out...
three tins of DK-50 for the price of one, 1 gallon sizes
(I have no idea how to read the date codes, but here goes one: 1130 V5905)
it passed a smoke test (will darken a piece of undeveloped film) and mixed to a light straw colour
Canon T90
Canon A-1 (and the previous body a donor most likely)
+1 for the EF - it was also one of the first Canons with an internal VRM - will take modern alkaline PX625 without re-calibration
Roughly the same feature set as the (original) AE-1, batteries optional, long timed exposures. It's my main camera now.
Canon EF, just works, VRM provides correct meter calibration on alkaline cells
Canon A-1, shutter release magnet does not trigger (broken electromagnet coil? Is this fixable? The magnet poles were clean, suggesting the coil or its PCB was busted)
Samyang 28-85mm 1:3.5-4.5 macro (15" minimum distance) - this replaced a broken 35-70 for doc copy, and my normal Sigma 28-70 with a loose focus ring (and no distance scale)
Vivitar 2x/3x TC
10mm extension tube (for the doc stand)
you say that, and i come across this (old stock as all Adaptall-2 lenses were discontinued 2006): https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/158047-REG/Tamron_A17200_28_200mm_f_3_8_5_6_LD_Aspherical.html
(I have the matching adapter for Canon FD)
yes, which is why the thought even entered my mind to begin with, considering that MF lenses for these older mounts continued production for some time after the end of vendor support :whistling:
Did the third party lens manufacturers ever have IS or VR-like feature in mounts like the Canon FD? Tangentially related: when did they discontinue lenses for these mounts? I seem to recall the Vivitar MF lines to have been around as late as 2004 or so...
went with 8 mins in D-76 stock, still managed to extract a small amount of grey tones. Pretty happy with the results overall though my lighting was a bit off:
Looking for some tips on developing (Agfa) Copex Rapid in plain old D-76 (either stock or 1:1), this is a stock I picked for its technical use (as a doc storage film), so a low-contrast developer for pictorial use does not apply here. This seems to be a little-used combination, since pretty much...
lots of things. not anything i'd rather get into around here at least.
decided to dust off some of my old equipment, even expand my existing Canon FD collection a bit. found out there were still a few camera stores (and a lab!) open in my region. now to decide where/how to hone my skills....in...
