Yashica SLR - Light Leak Question

Hello, I have an interesting occurrence that I am trying to find the culprit for. I shot through 3/4 of a BW roll, rewound it to the starting point, and then loaded it in another camera (Yashica Pentamatic II w/Auto Yashinon 5.8cm 1.7-Zunow-made lens). With with lens cap on, aperture almost...

    Topcon R question

I have a first-generation Topcon R from 1957-8 that currently uses an Auto-Topcor pre-set lens. There's not much information out there about Topcon F.Auto-Topcor lenses, and I'm curious, can a Topcon R use Topcon F.Auto lenses in the same way as the pre-set lens, or is it an entirely different...

    Want to Buy Auto-Topcor 3.5cm f/2.8 Lens (pre-set aperture) for Topcon R

I've been looking for a decent example of this lens at a reasonable price off-and-on for awhile and haven't had any luck. Most specimens that I've seen are pretty scratched up and/or quite moldy. I plan on visiting Tokyo next month and I may be in luck to find one there amid searching around...

    Canon FL 50mm F1.4 - Version I, II, III - Question

I recently purchased a very clean Canon FL 50mm f1.4 that I intend to use on a Canon FX. According to this website (https://www.pacificrimcamera.com/pp/canfl50f14.htm), my lens is the second version. From what I can gather after a bit of research, there doesn't seem to be much difference...

    PETRI 35 Rangefinder Question

I recently picked up a pretty clean version of what is labeled as a ‘PETRI 35 F2 Color Corrected Super’ that was made in 1957-58. Would anyone know how many elements this Kuribayashi Petri Orikkor 45 f2 lens has for this Petri 35? Research turned up a decent amount info about the Petri 35...

    Mystery Camera #12

@macfred Indeed! I’ve shot a lot of vintage cameras over the years, but I’ve never seen one of these. Very tempting to try indeed.

    Mystery Camera #12

https://fwphotolab.com/ I was very pleased with the film that I had developed at this lab during my last visit to the States several years ago. As I'm visiting family again pretty soon, I went to check if this film lab is still around, and sure enough, it is. Above is the link to the lab...

I was searching for something that I needed for a lesson plan on Pinterest and I randomly came across this old photo with a neat camera that I'm unable to fully recognize. Any ideas?

Great research @wiltw @Paul Howell . Much appreciated! I’ll just stick with UV Topcor lenses.

    UV TOPCOR 28mm f/4

@Paul Howell - Cool! Thanks for the comment! Yeah, the camera makes a pretty loud clap like a medium-format camera, but I still like shooting it. By the way, I have a question that you could maybe help me with. Would a W-Komura Uni Auto 35mm f/2.5 be able to be used safely on the Topcon Unirex...

    UV TOPCOR 28mm f/4

I posted a few shots on my Lomography page using this UV Topcor 28mm f/4 with Kentmere 400. The results weren't too bad for shots up close with with plenty of light and aperture set between f/2.8-8; however, in low-light it didn't perform as well. Granted, the viewfinder isn't the greatest on...

    UV TOPCOR 28mm f/4

I just finished shooting a roll of Kentmere 400 using the Topcon Unirex with the UV Topcor 28mm f/4. Majority of the photos were shot at f/4-5.6. I'm not a huge fan of Kentmere 400, but should suffice for some pretty decent shots. I'll share a few I like once I get it developed. Until then...
