Free Free for pickup: Speedotron power packs, strobes, light stands and more

I don't meet the 12-month requirement, and sadly I don't think I'd end up using the gear, but if you reach a point where you really want to get rid of it, I live 3-4 hours away and have several local connections; I'm sure I could find a good home for it. Mainly, any excuse to spend a night at...

    Asahi Pentax Spotmeter: broken?

That's for the Spotmeter V, I appear to have the III. https://www.butkus.org/chinon/pentax/spotmeter_iii/spotmeter_iii.htm It has two separate scales, one for normal light conditions, one for low-light conditions. The button is marked with an "L" and per the manual at that link, it's only to...

    Asahi Pentax Spotmeter: broken?

I suspect my question could be answered with more searching, but so far no luck. I picked up a Pentax Spotmeter III (if my research is accurate) via eBay. Low-light metering via the L button seems to work, although I haven’t checked it for accuracy. The battery test passes. However, if I’m...

I like this photo so much that it’s been open in a browser window for days now. Any chance I could buy a print?

    Davis & Sanford tripod

Thanks. That'll be some pricy shipping, but if I knew I'd be working with large format in the future, it'd be worth it. I just discovered the attachment is a side arm. This video (just a slide show with discussion of the tripod) shows it in use near the end. (Oh, and I guess that's the...

I still haven't committed to going bigger than medium format, so I'm probably going to pass, but I'm intrigued. How much does it weigh, approximately?

Sold Seitz Rounshot 28/220 Outdoor panoramic camera with PC Nikkor 28mm

Fascinating camera. I've been enjoying my 6x17, but this is obviously a wholly different level. For anyone else curious, this is a good introduction: GLWS

Thanks. It's one of my all-time favorites, but it doesn't do much for my friends. C'est la vie.

That is absolutely lovely. I shot a roll of Rollei IR recently, nothing nearly that interesting, would like to give it another shot. Signed up for a local infrared workshop, but I don't know whether it's digital or analog. Figured it would likely be useful either way.

A sunken boat and a coot. The photo was taken on a foggy morning, and I loved the curves, so I simply desaturated it and cropped it to a square format to emphasize the bird and its shadow as a counterpoint to the shadows cast by the boat's mast and cables.

I picked up an Epson V700 flatbed scanner on eBay, and I've been pretty happy with a Logomography Digitaliza film holder I bought from Roberts. I've never really figured out what each generation of Epson scanner offers over older ones, but the V700 seems to do fine. I started out with a copy...

Thanks. I miss oceans and mountains, but Indiana has a lot to offer. I've been taking darkroom classes through the local art center, and I enjoy using the enlargers, but when I bought the 6x17 I realized I needed to get a scanner and start doing more digital printing. A shame, but there's...

I can't take any credit for the 3D panoramic. It was purchased through Etsy, from a seller who licenses the design and makes them in a few different sizes. https://www.etsy.com/shop/CameraSolutions This is one of my first shots, and remains my favorite.

Film itself is (relatively) easy, so long as I'm willing to buy Ilford (B&H has it, Delta 100), but that's most of what I shoot today anyway. I really want a camera I can use outdoors, though, and while it looks like I could make it work, it would be a challenge.
