Yeah that the technique i used but for 116 film you don't need the gap, you just but the two halves together and its good to go.
Unfortunately the film produced nothing, just a hazy mess of fog. An interesting experience none the less.
Now to the 130 and 122 films...
Well after two days of trying on and off trying i just sat down and did it first go š¤£
The biggest help was a much more gentle corner cut than i usually make. And putting the dog in another room. Normally i just sort of throw 120 and 35mm film on first time every time so this struggle was...
Right then lets get the shame oit of the way. I am a failure š
I have a found roll of 116 in quite an interesting camera. I would like to try and see of there is anything on the roll.
But try as i might i cannot get the bloody film on. Its tightly curled and very floppy.
I am using a paterson...
Thanks Dan,
Pretty much the conclusion i came to. Seen varying opinions on using oil with thin glass.
I'll give it a go, then buy some more glass... And report back
I didn't think this through. I now have a small 50/50 mirror i need to cut down to size.
Now if this was a window pane or a picture frame it would be cut by now, wheel cutter dabbed in oil and i'm off.
But before i attack 1mm thick, expensive enough to not really want to buy more, glass with...
I have had god known how many cameras with selenium cells*. I have not had a faulty one yet and they have all been perfectly capable of taking a well exposed photo.
I just buy them with an obvious lens cap or still in an ever ready case and have yet to be disappointed. I have had seized battery...
I am a bit confused.
The opemus 6 came with three heads. A lamp housing with condenser etc. or a color 3 diffuser head and a color 4 (from memory). I have one lamp housing and one color 3 head. They are interchangeable.
The color 3 head sits on various enlargers and with the right diffuser box...
The color 3 head can fit mixing boxes for up to 6x9 on various enlargers.
I have a boxed opemus 6 color 3. And i know something in there is labelled 6x7 but i can't for the life of me remember if it is a holder and the mixing box or just the mixing box.
Sorry, I guess i meant "not as wide as it can go" ie lots of movement available. I will do a proper post on the camera in a while as i give it a proper once over.
Ah, i did mea to put that detail in. Its a half plate.
I had got as far asits wide angle lens but i assume thats in relation to a whole plate and at a half plate its cropped.
I am going to do the least possible to it and test it with some paper. I am fairly confident its all pretty much working.
Evening all.
I have picked up a Butcher & Sons "the national" currently with a 6" cooke Primoplane which i think is a little short, its definitely not the original lens, you should see the state of the Lens board its on š¤£
Couple of bits and pieces that need sorted on it but its largely okay...
