Enlarger options for 6x9 and 4x5?

Yeah I’ve been shooting Arista. I like to shoot color now and then as well, and 4x5 color is a no go between the cost of film and developing. So in shoot 6x9 when I want color.

Enlarger options for 6x9 and 4x5?

Yeah I’ve got a shelf sitting just over the top of the 23cii, but may be able to remove it if necessary. It’s far from an ideal space, but is the only spot with water and without windows…

That’s great, thank you! I’ll send you a pm.

Enlarger options for 6x9 and 4x5?

I do have a Chamonix field camera, as well as a big Omega 45c monorail. I want to get rid of the Omega but I imagine it wouldn’t work for this purpose.

Enlarger options for 6x9 and 4x5?

Thanks everyone! A quick search on Craigslist and marketplace isn’t turning up much; that Omega Paul linked to is about 3 hours away, so a possibility but not easy. I found a Polaroid MP-4 setup on Facebook, nearby, but it’s pricy $750, and I’m not quite sure what it is - a camera setup to...

Enlarger options for 6x9 and 4x5?

I want to get back into printing in the darkroom, but it’s been decades. I have a Beseler 23cii, which i think will handle 6x9, correct? It has an 80mm lens right now - will I need something longer? I also shoot 4x5, and would love to enlarge to at least 8x10, but I will need a 4x5 enlarger...

    Affordable b&w paper?

I’m thinking of getting back into making darkroom prints after about 20 years away. I started shooting film (4x5 and 120) again a few years ago, but have been scanning my negs and processing digitally. The flexibility to adjust digitally is great, but I don’t always love the overall results...

    Omega view 45c value?

That’s true, I should put it up there for a couple weeks and see what happens. I’ve sold guitars on there before and it can be a crap shoot, but it’s free and local, so I think I’ll try it before going to that store.

    Omega view 45c value?

Thanks. This place tends to charge a lot - they’re in a trendy part of the city and apparently the film stuff I learned on is now in style. Which is fine, I’m just saying their selling prices seem to be inflated, so it’s a little hard to judge. If this camera wasn’t so huge and heavy I’d...

    Omega view 45c value?

I have an old Omega View 45c monorail camera- rail, front and back standards, bellows, ground glass, and two lens boards, one deeply recessed and the other standard. Everything works and I’ve got a big ol case for it. The local analog photo store in Boston offered me $100 for it, and I might...

Animal eye af on Sony a7iii vs a7iv

I’ve been advised that af should be unaffected by the conversion. I know that the a7r’s rudimentary af works fine on mine. I’m probably doing a full spectrum conversion so I will have lots of options to choose from in finding one or more wavelength that works for these portraits. Basically...

Animal eye af on Sony a7iii vs a7iv

I’m in the market for a new Sony that I can convert to infrared and use for portaits/animal portraits as well as occasional landscapes. I’d like to spend as little as possible, but wondering if there’s a significant step up in the animal eye af going from an a73 to a74. What about the a7r3...

    Sekonic spot meter problems

So it sounds like cleaning the contacts clearly wasn’t a permanent fix for you. I wonder if I should even bother taking mine apart. Now that I know where to apply pressure, I guess it isn’t all that hard to make it work as is, and the display resets the reading every time I release pressure...

    Sekonic spot meter problems

You are correct! It takes a bit of force, but pressing in on the spot attachment brings readings more or less into line with what my other methods are showing. Thanks. Interestingly, mine is leading to massive overexposure rather than the moderate underexposure in your post. I’ll have to look...

    Sekonic spot meter problems

So I’ve just noticed that my Sekonic 478dr with 5 degree spot attachment is indicating that I expose about four stops over what my iPhone spotmeter app recommends. The app seems to agree with my digital camera meter, and when putting the Sekonic in incident mode, it is within about a stop of...
