Hi,
I would like experiment with a transmission densitometer, mainly to have a more solid/scientific approach when comes to development times (N, N+ or N-). However the cost is putting me a bit off and that's why I am thinking to go DIY. This article HERE seems to provide a good step by step...
Ozone is definitely more effective with volatile compounds. However if you remove the volatile nicotine at high rate you will prompt off-gassing (Chatelier's principle), as a result "bounded" nicotine will drop at a similar high rate. I guess this should be the process behind ozone and bad odors...
Thank you guys for the suggestions
Spray glue doesn't convince me...is the 3M spray adhesive archival? On the other side, my concern with liquid glue it is the difficulty to spread a nice and homogeneous layer on such a large surface without soaking the substrate...

Hi guys,
I have to prepare a number of 16x20 print dry mounted to a 1.4mm board which will be shipped unframed.
Now, to keep the print and mount board really flat I want to back it with a 5mm foam board. The foam board is coated with paper.
My stupid question - How will you fix the boards...
I am using 1+1+100 - first 90 seconds continuous agitation and than 10s every third minute. I am using this regime for the last year or two and I am obtaining good and consistent results with most films. If is due to local exhaustion I would expect stronger defects in high density area like in...
I normally use minimal agitation which sometimes produces some bromide drag along the edge only with Acros 100. But I never observed something like this. Attached a scan of the incriminated neg.
Print is a straight print on Ilford MGFB # 3, developed in Ansco 130.
The attached pictures are from the very same print, maybe was not clear. Other negs from the same roll seem to be fine, seem because the defect is barely visible on the negative - but definitely there when the neg is inspected with a loupe.

Hi guys,
I've just been printing a neg which had some weird feature...overall the print looks fine and very sharp but if inspected closely...I don't know what is it, it looks like a bad digital processing. Any thoughts? I am only sure that the feature is already on the negative and are not an...
Many good suggestions and a lot of inspirations! Thank you guys!
Agreed.
Without arguing the universal meaning of abstraction...to me abstraction should simply offer a new view, allowing new interpretations and possibly bring some thoughts. It should act like a layer or filter between the...
Abstract to me is a kind of added value to a picture. A picture of a tree can be just a picture of a tree....but, for example, the pepper picture of Edward Weston is more than just a pepper.
Futurist photographers seem to focus more on portraits, do you know any futurists landscaper?
