New (as of 2019) airport CT scanners

Few updates, Bangkok BKK and Chiang Mai airports have old school XRAy scanners. They are happy to provide hand inspections to films as well as cameras loaded with films. Paris CDG T2E K gates, transfer scanners are upgraded to CTs. They are happy with hand inspections of films however if your...

New (as of 2019) airport CT scanners

BCN T1 Fast Track has 2x CT scanner. I haven’t asked them about the film but giving the fact that standard lane is far and there wasn’t any XRay equipment in vicinity, I’d assume they’ll provide hand check for films.

Backup for Leica 35/2 v4, which Voigtlander 35/1.4 or 35/1.5

It looks a bit slow, with film (and M9 family) it can be a problem

Backup for Leica 35/2 v4, which Voigtlander 35/1.4 or 35/1.5

Ha, I have plenty, from 21 to 90, some focal length with different apertures... you might be right. Only for few months, I can use another lens...

Backup for Leica 35/2 v4, which Voigtlander 35/1.4 or 35/1.5

Honestly, I’ll be most likely selling it as Leica lens will be glued in my camera

Backup for Leica 35/2 v4, which Voigtlander 35/1.4 or 35/1.5

I always had an eye on LLT 35/1.4 but not quite sure if I should put £1000 over £500 for Voigtlander 35/1.4

Backup for Leica 35/2 v4, which Voigtlander 35/1.4 or 35/1.5

yes and then I guess I can use a screw in hood as Voigtlander hood seems a snatch type which can be blocked by the larger filter.

Backup for Leica 35/2 v4, which Voigtlander 35/1.4 or 35/1.5

Hello all! So my trusty Leica 35/2 v4 needs servicing in Wetzlar, the entire centre core of the lens is loose, I can screw and unscrew it. But the main issue is it does not align with the centre mark, meaning where the arrow is does not align with 2 of the aperture. Anyways it will go to Wetzlar...

How do you deal with the wind (strong)

Thank you all, a pushed HP5 is the way to go now, I can handhold my 35mm camera or 500CM. And next time I should pack my Fuji 6x9 rather than LF probably.

How do you deal with the wind (strong)

Ok thanks all. It looks like first I should get a tripod with a hook on the center column. Currently I have Manfrotto Befree carbon, very light and easy to use but yes not so great at the windy days. Currently my solution is, 35mm handheld 🤣

How do you deal with the wind (strong)

Hello all, Happy Christmas! I’m wondering what is your preferred way of dealing with the strong wind (gusts up to 40mph) My family and I are doing one long road trip each year, last year we have done NC500 (that’s the entire Scottish coast east to west) and this year we are doing the Wild...
