I was given this XD5 which seems to be almost in mint condition, except for the presence of this odd spring in the gate and some lightmeter problems.
It works well in other ways, but:
-the lenses cannot click, and therefore do not stick in place when inserted in the mount;
-lightmeter doesn't...
I'm not sure I understand your reply, black and white development is what I was explaining that I tried and that worked out fine, (at the expense of colors obviously).
("I got more lucky processing the 2242 in Rodinal, with 40ml + 960ml (1+25), for 7 minutes...")
Still have to try Korak's...
Hey that's cool, me too! It's pretty small but super dark without windows which I love. I usually throw some pillows on the ground and get comfortable haha. I've been able to bulk load from 1000ft cans and with a friend who sits there to learn! It's just a bit crowded.
I got lucky yesterday.
At first I tried processing a roll shot with SLR using somewhat old CineStill C41 chemicals for 12 minutes, but that didn't reveal much unfortunately,
I got more lucky processing the 2242 in Rodinal, with 40ml + 960ml (1+25), for 7 minutes, variation on this chart.

Interesting!
Does the XP2 give pink results even in BW chemistry?
The Ilford website says "that can be processed on the high street" - I never heard this expression before?
How do you call processing C41 in ECN2 chemistry (or vice versa)? My friend who does it was calling it "cross processing". I think if we use different terms for every possible case of "processing film in a chemistry/bath not meant for it", we might soon get lost in terminology...
Thank you for your answers, which have been most helpful in determining a more realistic scope for this experimental playground.
I updated the list in the original question to reflect the information you shared and will add more for each viable scenario.
I've been processing film for a while now - C41, E6 and BW - I know that the bathS are sometimes two or three or four different steps (if you use a stabilizer, vinegar for stop bath etc).
So, sorry if the wording in the table confused you, they're just a means to an end :) Yes I am curious to...
Of course.
I'm not as much trying to get a consensus on the definition of the term as I am trying to gather examples that could be worth trying.
For cases ABCD and E, the results - even pushed or pulled - have been widely documented.
For cases 1 through 20, however, I do not recall having seen...
In the beginning of my film journey, I was convinced that "cross-processing" could only refer to processing either slide film in negative baths, or the other way around.
Since then, I met a few photographers who told me that any film that is processed in a bath it is not meant for can qualify...
Would the C41 as a filter help balance out the colors, is this the reason?
Is the chemistry very different between ECN2 and C41? I thought ECN2 was just C41 chemicals with remjet remover.
I will follow your suggestions and let you know!
I was recently gifted a good length of expired Kodak Eastman 2242 35mm film.
There isn’t much info about this stock online, so shooting and processing it was done with a bit of guesswork.
My friend processed it with E6 chemicals and got very pink, results, almost nothing showed:
Yesterday I...
