This has me literally tearing up. I talked to him on the phone at length one day a few years back and recently with one of his best friends and then his sister Anne recently, all really, really nice down to earth people.
At the very least I will be sending flowers to his place.
There has been an update as of an hour ago, he will sadly pass away soon. The family is with him in Boston and once they are ready, they will get back to people and arrange to return equipment that was in Jim's workshop. What a loss, a great guy all around...:-(

With the 100mm 3.5, yes.
This was and for me still is the premier aerial photo lens and was widely known to be such in it's heyday. Astronaut Jay Apt used it for much of the work he did from space in the book "Orbit".
I also use this lens on my 102MP Hasselblad X2DII as well as my film bodies...
The 180mm is one of my most used lenses and I have never had an issue with either the CF or CFi version that I now own and have used them in all kinds of situations with no additional lens support.
Have you got good results before and this is a new issue or is this a new lens for you?

Thanks, certainly a good option. I am very happy with my DUO-1 meter which I use quite a bit now, have an interior editorial shoot for Vanity Fair coming up this weekend which will involve a fair amount of mixed lighting so I am glad to have the meter in the kit.
