Help Needed: White Spots on Enlarged Prints

If it is dust on the negatives - are there any techniques you might recommend for drying them ? Perhaps it is the drying process that attracts the dust ? In the summer months, I'd hang them outside vertically. Now I resort to hanging them inside my office.

Thank you for your insights all - I will clean the glass first for safe measure - and then examine the prints more closely and try cleaning them with appropriate solution.

Is there a particular liquid solution that is preferred to clean the glass ? And I'm assuming a microfiber cloth is best ?

Help Needed: White Spots on Enlarged Prints

Hello everyone, I’m reaching out to see if anyone has insight into an issue I’m facing. Every time I enlarge and print photos from certain film negatives, I notice consistent white specks or spots appearing across the images. While the spot locations and intensity vary across different...

Do you think it is possible to find either of these in the 50 euro range ? Or should I be suspicious if I do find one.

    Enlarger Lens for 6x4.5 film

I have a Durst M805 b/w enlarger, and I will begin making prints for my 6x4.5 film. Reading the Durst manual, it recommends a lens focal length between 75-80mm for this size film. I'm just curious, if anyone knows more about Boyer lenses (now defunct company which manufactured in Paris). I am...

A few questions before my first b/w development

Thanks for the tip, makes sense for consistency and keeping notes. Some years ago I used to work as a biochemist, so I'm quite looking forward to getting back into experimenting and learning in a "lab" - but more creative. And perhaps introducing my son as he gets older (only 2.5 years old)...

A few questions before my first b/w development

Thanks I will probably go with stainless steel, and besides I prefer to avoid plastic when possible. Just doing a cursory search, I've heard good things about Hewes reels (thought they seem like they might be a bit difficult to find here in France). What are some decent stainless steel tanks you...

A few questions before my first b/w development

I will begin developing 35mm, but will eventually like to move into 120 Chemistry: 1) Do you prefer to buy the developer in powder form and then dissolve in water when needed ? Perhaps this way is more amenable for longer term storage ? 2) Do you use separate developers for developing the...
