I wasn't really planning on making a photograph in this well trodden place... but when I got there I was so moved by the scene I had to. While I've left out most of the ruin I felt this expressed my feelings about these massive walls and the fragile ruins they still protect.
Thanks everyone. Always a bit daunting to photograph near the tripod holes of the masters... I responded honestly to my feelings about the experience, all you can do, really. Of course that dramatic side lighting on the rock face didn't hurt any. All the best. Shawn
I know when I got to that spot I was so excited to shoot the ruins and the wall but only to find that Indians set up a flee market type area for selling their good right in front of this location. I even tried from up on top to see if a ong lens could be used and hide there sh_t but to no avail. great area i need to get back someday. good job with what you had.
