White House Ruin

8x10 silver contact print

I wasn't really planning on making a photograph in this well trodden place... but when I got there I was so moved by the scene I had to. While I've left out most of the ruin I felt this expressed my feelings about these massive walls and the fragile ruins they still protect.

Although a very well done scene, it is hard not to take the shot when there! Such an incredible place. I think you've really done a fine job of not doing the obvious Shawn.

I believe I know the place from other photos, and this is one of the more interesting I’ve seen.

Really really super Shawn. A great original effort in a place where such a thing is hard to manage.

Not familiar with the place but I like your composition and the timing you choose in respect to the quality of light. Great job.

Fabulous rock texture

Very interesting take of a well known scene - well done

A good example of "less is more"
