Up on the Mountain.

We've been spending time in the cabin where Melanie was born, at the top of a hollow in the Pisgah Forest of far western North Carolina. Melanie's family lives below the cabin in the hollow. The cabin is 150 years old, made of hand-hewn chestnut logs. Nothing is square, no heating or AC, no road. It's a nice change from Manhattan life, when we can find the time to slip away.

Your child is growing quickly -- nice that you're continuing to photograph your family; you'll treasure the pictures years later.

Your wife and son are very beautiful Sanders, my best wishes to you and them.

Hi Sanders , It is interesting to see this image posted next to a studio nude by Thomas , the contrast of human connection is very evident , both are very beautiful in such a different way .....hope all is well with you in NY as my family is coping with the aftermath

I was in New York for the storm and aftermath. I just flew back to Florida Wednesday. Strange, to be flying to Florida to escape a hurricane -- such a brave new world we occupy, isn't it? I hope you all manage. What part of the city are you in?

Fantastic picture! The setting is beautiful. Please keep taking them.

Very nice Sanders. Did you give up on your move down South?
