Looks like you've got the highlights managed well!I am figuring out some xray film at home too. I printed out a grayscale stepwedge and photographed it.
*blush* You're just saying that. (say it again) Thank you. I've really worked hard to figure out this film. It's still prone to frustrations, but every once in awhile, it produces prints like this.
Very nice to see, really great tones and quite encouraging. I'm sitting on a pack of the Fuji 8x10 Green that I can't seem to find time to work through yet -- surely I'll get there by WPPD the end of April! It seems really good that HC110 works for you at Dilution H, as even chemical consumption could be alarming in 8x10 and that would minimize it. (Is the stuff you're using the two-sided emulsion?)
Thanks, DW. I cut my 8x10 down to 4x5 so that I can process in my Combi-Plan tank, and that works fine. Yes, this is the two-sided emulsion, so it is very delicate. If I'm VERY careful, I can do full sheets in trays, but scratches are pretty much guaranteed. Because of the amount of chemicals in 36oz, I figure I can run at least three tanks with one batch of HHC-110, maybe more, but I don't usually have that many sheets to run at a time anyway. My results have really gotten more consistent lately with more practice. Thanks again. Tom
I have boxes and boxes of this stuff. I also use HC-110 but at times struggle. Would you care to share how you rate the film? Also the filter #2--is that a multigrade paper filter?
