This was as much practicing with the Toyo 45AX as it was testing some tech Pan expired in 1998.

What fun! You might get spoiled by the tight grain!

I have been using some Tech Pan 4x5 (most a bit older than yours by a decade or so) for a project that will end when I no longer have any Tech Pan...all too soon! Great stuff...contrasty as all get out, but since contrast is what I want (alt processes), I do not have to reduce it too much. I dream of finding a small stash of 4x5 somewhere! I do have a small stash of it in 120!
 
Larry -- my DAD was in the Royal Navy 27 years ! I was safely on Land in the British ARMY !
re your Tech Pan experiment -- I have some 120 and 35mm in the fridge and could use my 'Home Made' MICROPHEN to process it , well diluted as you did !
