Thank you all for your comments. It's heartening to hear that so many of you enjoy and yearn for these kinds of images. I go for days seeing so many photographs that I find quite uninteresting, sadly on this forum as well as others.

Beautiful. It works on several levels. I like the juxtaposition of the organic, chaotic lines of the tree branch against the almost geometric lines in the stone. As others have already stated, the tones and composition are very pleasing too. I would not crop.

This is wonderful! On the thumbnail, I see a trapped animal ?!? Anybody else get drawn in by the thumbnail?
