Smile with assist

From my oldest son's Marine Corps boot camp graduation. They aren't supposed to smile in photographs while in uniform, so my daughter helped him out a bit. Such a shock to see how mature and strong he became in three months. Longtime APUGers may remember him as a little kid from the images I used to post. He's now a helicopter mechanic. Time flies.

Thanks! He actually graduated in December, and the timing of it meant he had nearly a month at home afterward rather than ten days. Then he went back for his combat training, and is now finishing up his courses for his MOS. He's about to start work as a helicopter mechanic. Very proud of him -- he's done very well. Boot camp was extremely difficult, but both of my boys have high pain tolerances and are very adaptable, so the have a bit of a leg up.

Really interesting that they aren't allowed to smile, is that EVER or in pictures... like if he were caught candidly laughing with some buddies, would that be ok? great shot, as I commented in the other image of them as kids, you can tell she's really happy and loves her brothers very much.
