She is Music

This is really wonderful. There's something intriguing about it that holds my attention - it's in my 'favourites' and I've studied it quite a few times. The white highlight in Gayles eye is perfect and acts as a perfect counterpoint to the darker tones in the picture.

PS- many many years ago when I was a lad (!) I wrecked my shoulder moshing and crowd-surfing at a Pixies concert. Much more sedate these days - it's all jazz and classical...!

Exceedingly strong portrait, proof 'positive' that there is no need for detail throughout the face in a deeply insightful portrait. Coburn would love it.
