Serendipity!

These work gloves fell off of a work truck just at the end of my driveway out in the street in front of my house. After about a week of people running over them they looked like this so I set up an 8X10 with 8 1/4" Velostigmat. My wife looked at me with a more than absurd expression and 2 or 3 neighbors driving past just rolled their eyes and shook their heads. Such is the price the artist pays. After I shot this I peeled them up and day before yesterday I used them to change the oil in my pickup.

Thanks for the nice words. Yes, when I saw that the one glove was flipping "the bird" I set up the scene for that. Humor in photography is almost always "found". I'm tickled that this is getting so much play. Hey, maybe I've found this years Christmas card.
 
I quite like the quality of the light in this one Jim. The image brings to mind the still life/found objects of Irving Penn.
 
Well worth the funny looks. (Actually most things that encourage funny looks are worth it, photographic or not).
