In looking through my new copy of John Sexton's Recollections, I was startled to see plate 32 which reminded me so much of this 'graph I made a few years ago. I claim no other comparison to Mr. Sexton's work beyond the coincidence of a similar composition, but I though it was cool nonetheless.

If I were printing it, I probably would have been a bit heavy-handed with burning the bottom of the image -- and would have lost the delicateness you have achieved.
