I am hesitant to comment on a scan of a negative as I view it as half done , but knowing your printing ability, which is awesome, this would be pretty close to your final vision , my add to what has been said is - it's very delicate, but more then that, the repetition of forms and highlights force the eye to wonder the frame....If this is not a print , what would you print on and what size ?

Good eye here to see something very ordinary and make it extra ordinary....

I forgot to provide the usual print info: Ilford MGWT toned in selenium and thiocarbamide.

I was fortunate to spend some time in Berlin recently and visited this wonderful museum. The highlight for me was the extensive collection of Dutch paintings which included works by Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Metsu among many others. In this photograph is a room just outside the exhibit areas, and the simple uncluttered space was just perfect for quieting one's mind before returning to the visual feast. What I saw in this scene was a graceful counterpoint of light and dark graphic elements that struck me as very musical in nature. The overall softness is the result of shooting handheld using a fairly wide aperture on my 6x6 folder.
