i had posted digital shots of these "oilgraphs" on facebook but now they are dry enough to scan and post here...
they are lith prints, glued with archival glue to wood, then covered in oil paints of various colors. once that is done, i begin removing the paint with various things..paper towel, news paper, etc..until i am happy with the look, or until i give up....
I like this the most of the series so far, I think it works best as a still-life composition. Nice dynamic with the hand reaching out to grasp the contorted ball (glued-together mussel shells??). But you know, you can do all this layering and more in Photoshop by adding texture layers and a couple masking layers and... Oops. As if. Bringing painting into photography, by hand, with skill, I'm all for it! Looking forward to your coming pictures of this kind. Rgds, Svend
