Stone, the photograph was made at 4AM on a cold winter night. The exposure was about 45 seconds, if I remember correctly. You and I will never see things the same way with respect to contrast and sharpness, and I don't need my pictures to be sharp or have the crazy high contrast you look for in your pictures. I like it softer and different from how you prefer it. But I thank you for stopping by and dropping a comment. Just because we don't agree doesn't mean I don't find value in that.

Yea I thought about adding a post script about how this was more an explanation of my perspective than a criticism of the style etc.It could also be that my monitor is too dark and the real print is easier to see. Or that the print with gallery lights is the ultimate plan which again changes the look significantly.I really love your eye for things, and I'm glad you heard my comment as just a comment on perspective.I also recognize soft can be beautiful. I ALSO recognize we go through artistic phases, and perhaps one day I'll start shooting more even toned shots. And every scene is different, if you had exposed any further the light on the right would have been to bright and detracted from the rest of the scene and you might have had to fiddle more with dodging it to hell :smile:Good work and thanks for sifting through the muck that are my words to find the good in them.
